Summary: FitChecks is an AI-powered outfit scoring app. We collect only what we need to provide the service — your account credentials, the outfit photos you submit for scoring, and the scores we generate. We do not sell your data, show ads, or share your information with third parties beyond the infrastructure providers listed below.
1. Who We Are
FitChecks is operated by Owlstorm.ai. References to "we," "us," or "our" in this policy refer to Owlstorm.ai.
If you have questions about this policy, please .

Biometric data (Face ID is handled entirely by Apple; we never receive biometric data)
3. How We Use Your Information
To provide the service — scoring your outfits, storing your history, and personalizing your experience (theme, default aesthetic, style stats)
To authenticate you — verifying your identity when you sign in
To enforce rate limits — we count your daily scoring requests to prevent misuse (currently 20 per day)
To improve stability — crash reports help us fix bugs
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling for third-party marketing, or any purpose not listed above
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data with the following service providers only to the extent necessary to operate the app:
What they receive: The outfit photo you submit and the aesthetic category you select, forwarded from our secure server-side function
Your image is used solely to generate your score and is not used to train Anthropic's models under the current API terms
Important: Your photo is never sent directly from your device to Anthropic. It passes through our Supabase Edge Function, which authenticates you first
What they receive: Anonymous crash reports including device model, iOS version, and error stack traces
No photos or personal content are included
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights or the safety of our users.
5. Camera and Photo Library Access
FitChecks requests access to your camera and photo library solely to let you photograph or select outfit images for scoring. These permissions are requested at the point of use — camera access when you open the Capture screen, photo library access only when you tap "Upload."
If you deny these permissions, the app will display a message explaining how to re-enable them in iOS Settings. Upload and manual photo selection may still be available depending on which permission was denied.
Photos you submit are uploaded to your private storage bucket in Supabase. Only you can access your own photos.
6. Data Retention
Account data: Retained for as long as your account is active
Outfit photos and scores: Retained indefinitely so your history is available whenever you return to the app
Crash reports: Retained by Sentry for 90 days per their standard retention policy
When you delete your account (via the Settings screen or by contacting us), all your data — including photos, scores, and account information — is permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days.
7. Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate data (e.g., your display name) directly in the app
Delete your account and all associated data by signing in and using the account deletion option in Settings, or by reaching out via our
Export your scoring history — contact us and we will provide a copy of your data in a machine-readable format
Withdraw consent by deleting your account at any time
To exercise any of these rights, please . We will respond within 30 days.
8. Children's Privacy
FitChecks is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please immediately and we will delete the account and associated data promptly.
9. Data Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS)
Supabase Row Level Security (RLS) is enforced — no user can access another user's photos or scores
The AI scoring API key is stored exclusively in our server-side environment and is never present in the app binary or transmitted to your device
Passwords are never stored in plain text; Supabase Auth handles hashing and salting
Despite these measures, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.
10. International Data Transfers
FitChecks is operated from the United States. Your data is stored and processed on servers located in the United States (Supabase). If you are accessing the app from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US. By using the app, you consent to this transfer.
11. Apple Sign-In
If you choose to sign in with Apple, Apple may provide us with a unique identifier and, if you choose to share it, your email address. Apple's "Hide My Email" feature is fully supported — we will communicate with whatever email address Apple provides. We do not receive your Apple ID password or any biometric data. Apple's privacy practices are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we may also notify you within the app. Continued use of FitChecks after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
